Sight Word Pattern Blocks {220 Words!}

Your students will practice their sight words by making the letters with Pattern Blocks!

Many of these words (all of the 1-, 2-, 3-letter words and about half the 4-letter words) are to scale, and your pattern blocks will fit into the shape outlines on the page. However, about a third of the words (including all 5+ letter words) are not to scale. These pages are meant to be used as a template. Also included are A-Z pattern block letters that are to scale. This way you can make any word you want fit your pattern blocks! You can see letters A, B, C, and D in the preview.

This pattern block sight word file is also editable! You can create a pattern block page for any word you need. To edit, simply type your word into the editable document. The pattern block letters and traceable words at the bottom of the page will both appear instantly! All the letters in your sight word are part of a special pattern block font that is embedded into this resource, so you do not need to download any fonts! All the editable pages have an auto-size to fit option, so your words can be as long as you need. Please note: the editable pattern block letters are NOT to scale. These editable pages are meant be to be used as a template for your students to work from.

When students are finished making the word, they will be able to practice writing the sight word on the dashed lines on the bottom of the page. Early finishers can color in the shapes on the page. This listing includes all 220 words on the Entire Dolch Sight Word list. This is a great word work or literacy center activity!
