Item description

Comprehension is an elusive skill to teach.  The research on comprehension indicates that there are six strategies that good readers use to construct meaning from what they read. Research also indicates that students who receive this direct instruction will be better able to monitor their own understanding.

This packet outlines those six strategies and contains materials for students and the teacher.  Pieces of the packet can be used as classroom artifacts/posters for students to use as reference.

Here’s to Happy Kids and Happy Teaching!
