Directions:

OPT 1: Identification: The child chooses or finds a snowman number card, makes the number on the ten- frames, then records the number on a recording sheet.

OPT 2: Addition: Use cards 0-10. Add 2 cards together using the addition mat. Build the number on the number mat.

OPT 3: Matching: Place the number cards and counting cards upside down. Have the child take turns flipping them over to find the matches.

Skills used: number recognition, one-to-one correspondence, counting to cardinality, understanding quantity from 0-20.

Manipulatives: blue or white pom-poms, beads, or buttons. Candy, winter erasers, cereal, or blocks.

Prepare: Print, cut, and laminate for multiple uses.
