This set includes comprehensible readings about Winter Traditions. These 8 readings will teach students about various winter / Christmas / Hanukkah traditions throughout Latin America, The Caribbean, and Spain. New Year’s Traditions are not included in this product, but you can find them all here!
Included Traditions: Tió Nadal (Spain), La Parranda (Puerto Rico), Las Posadas (Latin America), Jánuca (Argentina), Los Charramicos (Dominican Republic), La Comida de España (Spain), Día de las Velitas (Colombia), & Los Angelitos (Dominican Republic).
The variety of readings will keep your students engaged whether you choose to use them for a gallery walk, whole class readings, warm ups, or digitally. Each reading has glossed words at the bottom that may be less common to your students, and each reading includes a picture to represent the tradition.
