HOW TO THROW A HOT COCOA BAR:
►A week or so before your scheduled date, alert your staff by posting the announcement bulletins where you staff will see them..in the office, by the sign in sheet, near the copier, by mailboxes.
►The morning of the event, make your hot chocolate following the homemade recipe. Your hot cocoa can be stored for staff all day long in a crockpot or a coffee urn.
►To decorate your space, I would encourage you to cover a long banquet table with a seasonal/holiday tablecloth. Set your urn or crockpots out on the table, along with your paper goods and assorted toppings too.
►Table labels are included for the items you may include. Just cut them out, fold them on the dotted line, and set on the table near the corresponding ingredients.
►Hang your décor on the walls and your room will look extra festive and inviting. From left to right, set out your crockpots, cups/mugs and paper goods, spoons or stirring sticks, followed by bowls of toppings. You will want to bring in some holiday bowls to store all the toppings.
►Staff can drop in to enjoy a cup with their teammates throughout the day.

PLEASE NOTE: Every school is unique as is the climate of each building. Budgets are also different and therefore, this can be a stand alone event or part of a larger holiday plan. You can fund this in a variety of ways; out of pocket, a discretionary fund, with support of the PTA/PTO, or using your Sunshine Funds if you have one. In addition, if you are looking for a great gift to give your staff, you might consider purchasing personalized mugs with your school name on them, or you can even decorate mugs from your local dollar store to use the day of the Hot Cocoa Bar. No matter how you decide to implement this activity, your staff will definitely enjoy this and feel appreciated.
