These summer play dough picture mats are a hands on and engaging way to build fine motor skills while practicing vocabulary, color matching and tracing! Included are 20 dough mats with a summer theme. Use them during morning work, rotations, small groups or individual work. For long lasting mats, we recommend laminating them or placing them into protective sheets/pouches.

There are 20 dough mats in color and black and white. Each mat is half page in size. Students trace the vocabulary word and build the image using colored dough. Simply laminate and cut down the center, place into a tub with some colored dough, a dry erase marker and you have a center filled with fun!

Also included are 4 full page dough mats that have a summer related theme with 4 dough shapes to build. Each full page mat comes in three options: –

Option 1: Full color

Option 2: Background in color and dough shapes in black and white – this allows students to pick their own colors when building the shapes

Option 3: Black and white ONLY – you could allow the students to color in the background before building their shapes
