Each story comes with a set of 5 comprehension questions, which feature multiple-choice and open-ended response questions. Question 5 for each story requires students highlight and provide evidence from the text that support their answer.

Each story also comes with a writing activity designed to prompt students to make text-to-self connections or write narratives that extend the lesson or purpose of each story.
