This is a Bundle of resources that you can use with the following picture books for Thanksgiving: Turkey Trouble, ‘Twas the Night before THANKSGIVING, A Turkey for Thanksgiving, and Turk and Runt.

Product 1: Here are some Activity Sheets to use after reading Turkey Trouble by Wendy Silvano.

1. Comprehension Sheet – This sheet asks students to draw and write about their favorite part and answer some questions related to story. Answer Key is included.  It asks students to: ✸ draw their favorite part ✸ write some onomatopoeia words ✸ define the word “disguise” ✸ and answer some questions.

2. Venn Diagram – a page where the students Compare and Contrast turkeys to whatever they want.

3. Story Map #1 – Students use words and/or pictures to fill in the characters, setting, problem and solution of the story.

4. Story Map #2 – Students use words and/or pictures to fill in the characters, setting, beginning, middle, end, and moral of the story.

Product 2: Here are 2 Activity Sheets to use after reading ‘Twas the Night Before THANKSGIVING by Dav Pilkey.
✹ Activity Sheet #1 asks them to draw their favorite part, identify words that rhyme with hay, define the word feasted, and answer some questions.
✹ Activity Sheet #2 is a Missing Poster. Students fill in the blanks and draw the missing turkey.

✹ Activity Sheet #3 is a Story Map. Students fill in the characters, setting, problem and solution.

Product 3: Here are some Activity Sheets to use after reading A Turkey for Thanksgiving by Eve Bunting.

✹ Activity Sheet #1 Comprehension Sheet – This sheet asks students to draw their favorite part, write their favorite Thanksgiving foods, define the word “bellow”, answer some questions, and write about their favorite holiday memory on the back. An Answer Key is included for this sheet.

✹ Activity Sheet #2 Compare and Contrast– This page asks students to compare and contrast a real moose to a make believe moose.
