This Google Doc assignment is based on chapter 1 of S.E. Hinton’s novel “The Outsiders”. This is a two-part assignment. In the first part, students will, in point form, fill in a chart describing the physical and personality traits of the major characters. Page reference numbers are provided. In the second part of the assignment students, will, in sentence and paragraph form, describe who their favorite character is and why. This assignment is out of 20 marks and rubrics are provided for both parts of the assignment. A model sample answer key is provided for the character sketch part of the assignment.
