This Google Doc assignment is based on S.E. Hinton’s novel “The Outsiders”. The student will invent a character that would fit into the novel. This 20 mark assignment is divided into five sections:

  • A fill-in the blank demographic section

  • A section on a nickname given to the character

  • A section on the character’s relationship to other characters in the novel

  • A section giving a physical description of the character. In this section the student has the option of making a drawing of the character or describing.

  • A section where the personality of the character is described
