Turkey Letter Hunt is a fun way to learn and practice letters! Hide the turkeys and have your child find them! Hide the cards in a sensory bin, around the learning area, or lay them out and flip them over as a matching game.

Some fun and creative ways to use the recording mats:

  • Cover the letters with letter magnets, letter stickers, foam letters, etc.
  • Cover with a toy or object that begins with the letter sound.
  • Build the letter with playdough, manipulatives, or blocks.

Directions:

  1. Choose a Turkey Letter Hunt recording mat. (6 options – BW and color)
  2. Choose uppercase or lowercase letter cards.
  3. Print, cut, and laminate as needed.
  4. Set up and have fun learning letters!
  5. Once the cards are found, the child will color, cover, or build on the recording mat.

*GAME PLAY OPTION: Use both uppercase and lowercase letter cards.

Flip over and match the uppercase letter with the lowercase letter.

These are perfect for centers, student teachers, parent helpers, as morning work, sensory tables, circle-time, small group, 1-on-1 review, homeschool, preschool, or for a substitute.
