  • Political maps

  • Physical maps

  • Topographic maps

  • Climatic maps

  • Economic / Resource maps

There is plenty of projects to create if you let your creativity come afloat!

For example poster projects and interactive journals.

**UPDATE** This resource now contains BOOM cards to support remote learning.

The BOOM deck will provide examples and explain what political, physical, topographic, climatic, economic / resource, and road maps are. Not only will it explain to students what each map means and what it is used for but also it will explain what scales and map symbols are for. The first half of the deck is mainly to introduce or for subject review. The second half of the deck will have a quiz to check student knowledge. This quiz will have some different questions than those included in the worksheet packet.

When you purchase this product, you will receive a PDF with a link to the digital task cards on the Boom Learning Site (an external website). Cool!

About BOOM cards:

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with “Fast Pins,” (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards). Fast Play is always a free way for students to engage with Boom Cards decks.

You may be eligible for a free trial from Boom Learning. If you choose not to stay on a premium account after your free trial, you will still be able to assign all your Boom Cards to as many students as you see fit using Fast Play pins (which give instant feedback for decks that are self-grading).
