With these printable square jigsaw puzzles, kids have fun while they practice matching U.S. states and their capitals!
This set of 6 black and white puzzles includes 3 different puzzles, each with 2 versions – one with watermark images in the background to make solving the puzzle a little easier, and the other with no watermark image, which makes the puzzle a little more challenging. All pieces are square, with the state on one piece and the capital on another – put them together to solve the puzzle!
Students can easily cut along the lines and start solving immediately, or the set of 3 puzzles
can be used as a take-home practice activity. Between the three puzzles, all of the 50 state-capital combinations are included.
Two of the puzzles are a 4 x 4 grid, with 16 squares each, and the third is a 5 x 5 grid, with 25 pieces. There is a border around the edge. Blank grids are included, to use in arranging the pieces.
And for a little extra fun and challenge – There is an outline map of the U.S. at the top of each page – students can color in the states they find in each puzzle!
