Looking for a fun and simple way to review 2D shapes this Valentine’s Day?! This low-prep, simple sorting activity is sure to keep your kiddos engaged and learning! 

This 2D shape sort includes a colorful option that can be laminated and used as a center. There is also a black and white version that can be colored, cut, and glued together as a fun craft!

To complete this 2D shape sort, your kiddos will cut and sort Valentine’s mail with shapes into the correct mailbox. Shapes include circles, squares, triangles, rectangles, stars, hearts, pentagons, ovals, octagons, hexagons, trapezoids, and rhombuses. 

In the craft, the shapes are broken into groups of four to make it less overwhelming! You could also mix and match the shapes as you need them. 

The are two options for the mailboxes. The first has just the shape word. The second has the shape word, as well as a picture of the shape for little learners!

This Valentine’s Day shape sort is easy to prep and fun to make! It makes a great display too!
