This hands-on and engaging, Valentine’s themed CVC Word Activity is fantastic to get your students matching CVC words and pictures, as well as developing their phonics skills by recognizing and identifying beginning and ending sounds in CVC words. Your students will love this interactive and engaging CVC word practice game!

 

This CVC words activity is designed for you to use in class to complement lessons, in groups to support and reinforce learning, to promote knowledge and understanding, set out in centers or morning tubs to use independently, give out to early finishers, print out and use at home… the possibilities are endless!

-20 CVC Word ending sound matching cards

-2 Differentiated recording pages to practice writing the CVC words.

 

Prep:

Simply print, laminate and cut out the CVC word cards you are going to use. Place the recording page in a dry erase sleeve and use with dry erase markers.

 

Instructions:

Super simple, students find the heart cards to either create a CVC word/picture match or to create a complete CVC word. Students then write the CVC words they have found on their recording page.
