This low-prep, fun and hands-on “Winter” Missing Numbers Write the Room is a great addition to your math centers this season. It not only encourages your students to count and identify missing numbers, but also helps to reinforce number ordering and sequencing. It provides a wonderful opportunity for your students to increase their understanding of numbers and counting skills and is an easy and effective way to add movement to your math time!


This Winter missing numbers write the room the room activity is designed for you to use in class to complement lessons, in groups to support and reinforce learning, individually to promote knowledge and understanding, set out in morning tubs and math centers to use independently, give out to early finished, print out and use at home… the possibilities are endless!


Included:

– 2 Write the Room Missing Numbers 1-10 (Color & BW)

– 2 Differentiated recording pages with each set


Choose the set you are going to use, then print, laminate and cut the cards out. There are 6 different sets of cards to choose from. Place the cards around the classroom or around your house. (This will encourage them to move around.)

Give each student the corresponding differentiated recording page, encourage them to find the cards placed around the room, get them to work out the missing number on each card and then record their answers on their page.
