These winter preposition sentence worksheets are a great hands on way to help your students master their positional words using fun winter themed characters – moose, penguin and yeti!

Students cut out the sentence strips and paste them in order under the matching image to make a sentence. They then write out the sentence.

There are 9 worksheets covering a total of 27 different sentences.

These sentences cover 15 prepositions – above, around, in front of, out, next to, beside, on, on top of, through, between, in, inside, behind, over and under!

To help you differentiate, the 9 worksheets come in 2 versions (both versions come with and without handwriting lines!).

Version 1 – Build a sentence to match the image and then write the sentence

Version 2 – Build a sentence, write the sentence and draw an image to match.

These worksheets are great as a prepositions grammar center and can be used many different ways. They can be used as morning work, early finishers, small groups, center, sub tubs, homework and more!
