Provided in this set is 24 Winter Themed task cards that deal with counting numbers 0-20 on a ten frame. Each math story problem is different allowing the students to count each ten frame as they solve each problem. It is fun and engaging way to have students solve these problems. None of these problems involve money.


Use these 24 short response cards to help your students understand and grasp the concept to answer how many, as well as practicing writing numbers 0-20 (CCSS K.CC.A.3 and CCSS K.CC.B.5). These task cards are ideal for test prep and will work well at math centers, stations, or for partner work. I personally love using this with my whole class as a SCOOT type activity.

    Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.


    CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.CC.A.3

    Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
