Are you reviewing a unit on writing and solving variables with one variable or systems of equations? Students will work through writing and applying equations to solve application problems in this real world application project centered around buying pizza. Students will create equations, apply equations and make decisions based on real world information including surveying their peers

Students will need to adjust the equation in order to accommodate for people eating different numbers of slices and to include cost once they’ve manipulated the equation itself.

I use this in our pre Algebra which is grades 4-8 for the most part in terms of level.
