Item description

This activity was designed to be something different and engaging for the students and not just a “worksheet” review. It is fairly simple and hugely flexible to use as you see fit. You can use it as is (with a few prep details before you share with the students) or expand it to be a “game” with rewards (EX: complete a level early, pick your seat for the day) or as a class challenge or simply to use as a whole class activity.

Scenario

Slide 1: State testing is coming up. Yesterday, someone destroyed all the testing materials that arrived last week by tearing it all up and leaving a mess in the counselor’s office. Your job is to determine who dun it!

Slide 2: Even though all the suspects look innocent and supposedly have alibis, one of them is the culprit.

Slide 3: You will be completing questions and the correct answers will give clues to solving the crime.
