Do you need an activity to help your students practice factoring trinomials?

This is a great self-checking activity!

What’s Included:

  • 4 sets of cards (8 cards in each set)
  • Answer Key

How to Use this Purchase

  • Copy, cut out, and laminate the sets of cards. Each student will need a set of cards (or you could have students work in partners.)
  • Students start with the card that says BEGIN HERE.
  • Factor the trinomial on the given card.
  • Search for the factored form on the top of another card.
  • Factor the trinomial on that card…and so on!
  • When students have all 8 cards lined up, a secret 8 letter math word will be revealed!

In order to be successful with these cards, students must be able to factor trinomials with a = 1 and with a > 1. (One set of cards includes ONLY trinomials with a = 1).
