This product is a great supplemental material to follow any of the stories about spreading kindness through the idea of filling up invisible buckets. Some of these stories are “How Full Is Your Bucket? For Kids” by Tom Rath and Mary Reckmeyer, “Have You Filled A Bucket Today? A Guide To Daily Happiness For Kids” by Carol McCloud, “Fill A Bucket” by Carol McCloud and Katherine Martin, M.A., or “Bucket Filling From A To Z” by Carol McCloud and Caryn Butzke. After reading one of these books (some may also be available on YouTube) or once students understand the concept of bucket filling and dipping, select one of the included supplemental activities. There are three format options provided to meet the needs of students at different developmental and ability levels. Depending on the option selected, students write or draw ways to be a bucket filler. They then color and in some options cut and glue their bucket onto a piece of colorful paper. This product contains a few different activity options, making it appropriate for pre-k through 3rd grade.
