This phonics bundle includes fluency word decoding strips & independent phonics speed and read games which are low prep (print and go). They are perfect to use in your small group instruction, as a literacy center, “can do” activity, or early finishers activity. These fluency decoding strips & games can be played independently or with a group. Both the decoding strips & games focus on specific phonics skills.

These materials will help your students:

Here’s what’s included:

• 26 board games that can be played independently or with a partner/group
  • 2nd Grade level (reviews 1st grade content + more complex phonics skills introduced)
  • NEW! Assessment piece (answer sheet)

  • An assessment piece is now included to help hold students accountable and to check for understanding. Students will write the word that matches the clipart used in the game boards.

• 26 word strip packets
  • each packet includes 4 differentiated word lists and 3 practice words with decoding tips.
  • 2nd Grade level (reviews 1st grade content + more complex phonics skills introduced)

• Instructions of how to use both products hand in hand. Both of these items work hand in hand. Each time a fluency word strip has been passed off, students can get a puzzle piece to build the speed and read game board (which are cut into 4 parts). Once students pass off all 4 fluency word strip levels, they can complete the puzzle then play the speed and read game independently or with a friend.

*Note that some of the game boards have letter practice. In this case, students look for an image that starts with the letter sound the land on.
