Catholic Mary Review Game:

This Jeopardy-style Catholic classroom PowerPoint game helps students review the Catholic teaching about Mary My students LOVE playing these review games and “earn them” by paying attention to the teaching that comes before them.  (The Interactive presentation I use for teaching prior to playing this game is found on my store.)

Game Includes:

  • Easy Teacher Directions for how to play the game.
  • 30 Question Slides and 30 Answer Slides
  • Game Board Slide: all question categories and amounts where you click to go to a question (The amounts will disappear as they are used.)
  • Buttons on Every Slide: takes you back to the game board or scoreboard
  • 2 Free Point Questions– the team who chose that question gets the points indicated without having to answer a question.
  • Special Last Question where teams bet points!

Game Categories and Questions:

1. What Catholics Believe About Mary

2. The Hail Mary

3. Mary’s Heart (The Immaculate Heart of Mary)

4. The Rosary

5. Celebrations (Feast Days and other Marian celebrations.)

6. This and That (What else do you know?)

WAYS TO PLAY: (More complete teacher directions are included.)
#1: You can divide the class into 2 teams. Students take turns (1 student at a time) answering the question and earning points for their team.
#2: You can have all students engaged and reviewing every question.

  1. Divide students into groups of 4 teams.
  2. One team chooses the category and amount.
  3. All Students in all teams quickly and quietly decide on their own answers and write them on the team whiteboard.
  4.  All teams with the correct answers get the points. The team that chose the category and question and got it right gets 5 bonus points.
  5. Then the next team gets to choose the category and points.

Your students will be fully engaged and all about earning points for their team as they move through the scaffolded questions. Low prep for you. High engagement for them! Win-Win.
