Item description

This character activity focuses on the character trait trustworthy.
After teaching students about what the word means, this activity will
help students understand how they show they are trustworthy. Students
brainstorm how they show they are trustworthy at school, at home, and in
the community.

Teaching character traits is a great
activity to do throughout the whole school year. It’s important that
students understand the word, but it’s also important for them to see
how they and their classmates are showing the character traits you
discuss. After completing several of these, you could have students make
a character book out of them.

This activity is simple to
complete, and students can do it on their own. I would first discuss
what trustworthiness means. Then, I would have students give examples of
how someone can show that at school, at home, and in the community.
Students are used to thinking about the way they act at school and home,
but they may not think about each of the traits you cover out in the
community. This activity could lead to some great discussions. By
completing examples whole group, it will help students know how they
show they are trustworthy.
