These workbooks were designed to compliment the reading curriculum for Clifford the Big Red Dog (Pack One). Students learn to read with Clifford and can further their reading and understanding abilities by using these worksheets. I designed these for my ESL kindergarten students, but they are suitable for all young learners aged between 3 – 5.

There is one workbook (9 pages per workbook) for every reading book included in this download. So, there are 12 workbooks altogether. Each workbook uniquely focuses on the vocabulary, characters and themes of the stories. They also include writing, reading, sentence matching and creative exercises.

My students love completing these workbooks as much as they love following the exploits of Clifford and his friends. They help to further engage the students with the characters and build upon their reading and comprehension skills.

Here is a guide for the worksheets that are included in each workbook:

Vocabulary: Students trace words and sentences. They will also match pictures and words from each story.

Creative Exercise: Each workbook includes a creative exercise related to the themes of each story.

Coloring page

Sentence Matching: Students read and match sentences from the story to the correct pictures.

Writing: Students trace sentences from the story.

Cut and Glue: Students cut out and glue sentences from the story and match them to the correct pictures. The sentence cut-outs are included after each workbook in the pack.
