Practice a key skill at the beginning of the year by drawing and coloring these cupcake-themed pictures! Scaffolding is built right into this activity with plenty of options for difficulty level. Great for early finishers, a bell ringer, or a fun culminating activity that looks great hanging in the hallway on display!

This is a really engaging math art activity to use at the end of the year, beginning of the school year, during summer school, as a morning work, early finisher activity, math station or center, or really anytime!


How to Use:
1. Students could be given the entire picture and asked to color both sides to make a symmetrical design using colors of their choice.
2. Students could be given half of the black and white picture. They are then tasked with drawing the other side of the picture. Afterwards, they can color.
3. Students could be given half of the colored picture. They are then tasked with drawing the other side of the picture. Afterwards, they can color.
4. Students could be given half of the colored picture. They are then tasked with coloring the other side of the picture to match.
