Want to teach more about the history of Women’s History month in your Spanish 3, Spanish 4 or AP Spanish 5 Class? Use this resource to learn about the history, then have students complete the extension activity, where they complete a webquest based profile on a famous Latina person, and learn about their impact on the world.

Two options are included for the reading. Simply assign the article as is, with a vocabulary activity and comprehension questions. Alternatively, use the cloze partner style reading. Split students into partners. Student A reads the first part to student B. While listening, student B fills in the blanks on their copy. Then, they switch. Students then work together to answer the questions using the article. 

Then, have your students continue the lesson by assigning the profile infographic template. Provide your students with the list of notable Latinas, or let them choose their own. Students complete their profile about this person.
