Item description
Looking for a new way to help your Algebra 2 students practice expanding and condensing logarithms? Check out this self-checking scavenger hunt & mystery word scramble activity! Get your students up & moving with 10 questions they need to solve to collect letters that will create a mystery word.
This is a self checking activity. Students will know if they have done it correctly if they have answered all the problems without being sent to a problem they have already done. Likewise, if students cannot find their answer on any of the problem cards, they should go back and check their work.
What’s included:
➡️ 10 self-checking questions
➡️ Recording sheet
➡️ Detailed answer key
➡️ Teacher directions
How it works:
After printing out the question cards, hand them around your space so that they are out of order from how they were printed. Students will start with whatever problem they want. Once they answer the problem, they will look at the top of the other cards for the answer. Once they have found the answer, students will do the problem below their found answer and write the letter in the corresponding box on their recording sheet.
After students have answered all the problems, they will take all the letters they found and unscramble a word based on the given hint. The mystery word is spelled out in the order it appears in the file that you download.
