This product includes 2 social stories – one that focuses on including others and one that focuses on excluding others. Therefore, students will see the difference between including their friends, family, cousins, etc. and excluding them, and how that feels.


Students will learn about the following: included and excluded and what these words mean, the tenses they are used in, an example of each in a sentence, the vocabulary word and its means – jumping to conclusions, because that can easily happen when someone may feel excluded from something, how you may feel when you are included or excluded, and what to do when you feel excluded to feel better.


The social stories include comprehension questions that relate with the feeling included and feeling excluded social stories. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters when they feel included or excluded by a friend, cousin, or family member.
