Are you looking for engaging phonics activities for practicing final consonant blends? These poke task cards are a great way to practice ending blends ND, NG, NK, NT, LD, LF, LK, LP, LT, CT, FT, MP, SK, SP, and ST. Also included are 2 ending blends worksheets for addition phonics practice.


The word is written below the picture in a letterbox, minus the final consonant blend. Students will decide on the ending sound and pick the correct ending blend by poking a thin stick through the answer. After they choose their answer, they will self-check their answer by turning the card to the back to see if their stick is in the correct hole. My class loves to do these and stays engaged as they practice.


These cards are very easy prep and a center kids will want to do again and again! They are definitely a class favorite in my classroom!
