Item description
This no-prep project has students researching different cultures and foods around the world, then compiling what they’ve learned into a recipe book!
Students will choose or be assigned to a culture, research, and take notes on the food they eat (agriculture, specific meals, ingredients, directions, and how they eat). Once the research phase has been completed, students will put together a printed cookbook with breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipes, write an introduction for their cookbook, and a summary sharing what they learned at the end.
They can also complete a gallery walk at the end of the project to learn more about the cultures their classmates researched and complete a compare/contrast organizer to consider what is similar between the culture they researched and their own, and any differences.
This research project is no prep – all you need to do is print and use! It is the perfect supplemental activity to a health/nutrition unit that connects other cultures and promotes critical thinking!
