ADAPTED BOOK

The adapted book targets 10 positional words or prepositions of place. This fall and autumn themed positional words adapted book allows students to look at the picture, read the sentence and choose the correct preposition from the list on the side. This adapted flip book can be used year round or can be a fun addition to your fall prepositions unit.

The adapted book is available in color and black and white for your convenience.

The following 10 prepositions are included:
above, around, between, behind, in/inside, in front, next to/beside*, on/on top*, under/below/beneath*, over.

* = You can select which of these you which to focus on.

Mini Interactive Booklet

Students cut around the dotted lines and create a mini booklet by stapling down the side or top corner. Students are then required to cut out the 10 preposition images and glue/stick them onto the correct page after reading each sentence. The preposition in each sentence is underlined.

Preposition Flash Cards
Available in color and black and white

Print, laminate and cut out the cards and use them as flash cards, reference cards, vocabulary cards or posters. You can use these before introducing the adapted book and discuss each preposition and the relationship between the animal and object.

CLIP CARDS

These autumn and fall themed fox and pumpkin prepositions clip cards contains 18 clip cards or task cards that provide a visual model representation of 18 positional words. The cards come in color and black and white.

This set of 18 clip cards has a recording sheet and can be used as task cards, as a center, even as a scoot game or write the room! So many ways to use these cards and engage your learners with a visual understanding of positional words/prepositions.

These prepositions clip cards cover the following positional phrases : above, around, behind, between, beside, below, beneath, in, in front, inside, next to, on, on top, out, over, through, up and under!

EMERGENT READER

This autumn and fall themed emergent reader contains 18 pages in black and white. You can pick and choose which preposition pages you want to cover with your students. Cut each page along the center and staple where the staple marks are to turn it into an emergent reader book. Students read the sentences, underline or highlight the preposition in the sentence and then color in the pictures.

The following 17 prepositions are included:
above, around, between, behind, in/inside, in front, next to/beside*, on/on top*, out, through, under/below/beneath*, over.

* = These prepositions have the same image, just the preposition in the sentence has been changed.

Also included is a 2 page reference guide in black and white of 14 prepositions. These can be printed and put into student notebooks or used as a quick reference guide and a tool for spelling/vocabulary during writing sessions. You can laminate them and put them onto a ring or you can print a copy for each student, allow them to color it in, cut and staple and it becomes a personal reference guide!
