Item description
In this word search on steroids, students learn 50 of the most challenging vocabulary words (like “supposition,” “definitiveness,” and “audacity”) that they’ll encounter in Edgar A. Poe’s short story “The Tell-Tale Heart” as they read. This activity is a word find combined with elements of a crossword puzzle, resulting in a vocabulary-building exercise since students are only given a few of letters of the words they’ll be looking for and the number of letters contained in each word. See Preview.
