Provide students with an opportunity to refine their reading skills using these Text Structure Task Cards. Designed for students needing practice, review, or reteaching. This fun game-like activity provides a hands-on approach to mastering the five essential text structures: Cause and Effect, Compare and Contrast, Problem and Solution, Sequence, and Description. Students simply read the passage and determine which text structure has been represented.  They then color in their answer sheet and discover the 4-digit code. Fun and learning in the same activity!  

What’s Included:

• 22 Reading Cards: Each card presents a unique, brief text that exemplifies one of the five text structures, challenging students to identify and understand the structure used.
• Student Recording Sheet: As students work through the reading cards, they will shade or color the answers on this sheet. This interactive element not only reinforces learning but also adds a fun twist to comprehension exercises.
• Student Reference Page: This handy guide helps students recall the characteristics of each text structure, supporting them as they tackle each reading card.
