This bundle includes the lower elementary (Kindergarten-2nd grade) and upper elementary (3rd-5th grade) Read The Room Social Skills Games. These games are great for teaching social skills to elementary students! The games are developmentally appropriate for students in the various age groups and they focus on developing the skill of “reading the room” to determine appropriate social actions that will make everyone feel positive about the interactions. Each game comes with 12 Things To Think About education cards, 48 scenario cards, 6 sets of vote cards in different colors, and placemats to sort actions while considering what others might think as a result of an action.

Players read a scenario card, vote how others would feel, and then sort the scenario card. Cards can either be sorted by considering what others might think or into categories of read the room or did not read the room. All materials are also available in black and white to save ink! The best things about these games are the conversations that are sparked as a result of the various scenarios, while at the same time helping students make connections about how the things they do could make others feel.
