This short vowel Secret CVC Word Task Cards and Worksheets set is fantastic to get your students practicing spelling, sounding out and reading, identifying beginning sounds, blending letter sounds and writing CVC words. Your students will love this phonics letter sound center!
This secret CVC words set is designed for you to use in class to complement lessons, in groups to support and reinforce learning, individually to promote knowledge and understanding, set out in centers to use independently, print out and use at home… the possibilities are endless!

– 60 Secret CVC Word Task Cards. (12 task cards for each short vowel.)
– 60 Secret Code Picture Cards.
– 1 Generic Recording Page.
– 12 Secret CVC Word Review and Practice Worksheets. (10 individual vowel sound worksheets, 2 mixed vowel sounds worksheets.)
How to use:
Print, laminate and cut out the task cards. Students will then use either magnetic letters, letter tiles or dry erase markers to work out the secret code with or without the letter key chart. Students will then find the matching picture and place it in the box.
Print the recording sheet and place in a dry erase sleeve to use multiple times. Get your students to record the words they have found.
Print the review worksheets and use as additional practice for your students, to assess your student’s knowledge, to send out as homework… the possibilities are endless.
