Item description

This is the first installment of my “Seasonal Science Lesson” series that focuses on scientific phenomenon during special seasonal and/or holiday moments. St. Patrick’s Day is famous for so many traditions including the lucky four-leafed clover which is actually a mutation in the white clover plant. This lesson unites the Irish tradition of the four-leafed clover and the scientific phenomenon called mutation. The student package provides the Irish tradition and the science lesson in a fill-in the blank activity. Once completed students will answer questions that vary according to Bloom’s taxonomy and create their own version of a plant mutation. And, just to throw in some fun into this St. Patrick’s Day Holiday activity, students can play the LUCKY CLOVER Card game that is included in this resource! Great for a quick and applicable Science lesson on St. Patrick’s Day. Also, an easy option for a sub!

What you will get:

  • Student Fill-in the blank Booklet with activities (6 pages)
  • Easel Version
  • Lucky Clover Card Game that includes 15 matching St. Patrick’s Day themed Images and ONE Luck Clover Card with two suggested game options.
  • Teacher Answer Guide
  • Rubric (All my science resources will include my standardized rubric that abides by the most recent research on proper rubric creation).
