This Staff Shout Out Board has been a great addition to my school repertoire as chair of our Sunshine Committee, and I know your staff will absolutely love using it as well. All you need to do is place it in a convenient location where all staff will run into it, and leave a pad of Post It notes and a pen! (Hint hint…the copy machine line is a great location or at the sign in sheet in the office!)

How to Prepare Your Shout Out Board:

*Enlarge on a poster maker if you have access to one. Or you can enlarge at Vistaprint or your local copy shop.

*Put your poster in a picture frame (optional) and hang on the wall in a high traffic area for staff. (Office area, staff lounge, copy room)

*Add a pile of post it notes and pens. Your staff will jot down on a post it note and stick it on the framed poster.

Then What?

Every time we have a staff meeting, my principals begin by sharing what others have written on the post it notes for the entire staff to hear. It’s a great way to recognize the wonderful things that happen in our buildings on a regular basis. Then the board is clean and ready for to start thanking more colleagues.
