This retelling packet is a fun and engaging way to get students to retell the sequence of events in “The Gingerbread Man” fairy tale. Lots of fun for storytime and dramatic play retelling activities.

This packet includes colored and B&W character hats, props, a sequencing cut-and-paste activity, and large sequencing and number cards.

This product is included in Creative Curriculum-Beginning of the Year Study Bundle

Ways to use:

1. Have the children wear hats when retelling the story.

2. Cut the characters out from the hats, laminate them and place them on craft sticks or blocks and add to the block area while retelling the story.

3. Use the large or small picture cards to retell the story and place them in order.

4. Use the story element cards during guided reading time.

Includes:

  • Colored and B&W versions of hats.
  • Characters to cut out and place on craft sticks or wooden blocks (print hats and cut the characters out).
  • Colored and B&W sequencing activity.
  • Colored and B&W sequencing cards.
  • Number Cards 1-8 (for sequencing.
