Valentines Day Equivalent Fractions Boom Cards

Item description

A Valentine’s Day themed equivalent fractions deck – This randomised deck of 26 cards is perfect for practicing or reviewing the skill of calculating equivalent fractions during the valentines season. A variety of question types are included (check out the deck preview!)

Students will use the equivalent fractions multiplication and division rule to calculate answers. No simplifying of fractions is required.

Question types:

1. Calculate the equivalent fraction where the equivalent rule is given

2. Calculate the multiplier or divisor and the missing part of the equivalent fraction.

3. Working out whether fractions are equivalent by calculating the missing multiplier or divisor.

This lesson can be used on computers for whole group instruction or on tablets or iPads during small group instruction or independent practice. Aligned to CCSS 4.NF.1
