Teacher tip: I hang my posters in my classroom door window. My classroom is located in a “high-traffic area.” I love catching students looking at the posters and discussing them with their peers!
I teach United States History, Civil Rights History, and Social Studies at the middle and high school levels. I infuse the contributions of all five women profiled in these posters into the curriculum in a variety of ways including classroom discussions, videos, readings, etc. These posters are not intended to be the ONLY infusion of women’s history into the classroom. They are intended to be a starting point.
These posters can also be used to create bulletin board displays. If you are interested in more “Woman a Week” posters, please check out my original set which includes: Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Ida B. Wells, Malala Yousafzai, Dorothea Lange, and Maya Angelou.
