Do you want to get to know your students’ feelings about
writing? This writing attitude survey allows your students to express
how they feel about writing and the writing process. It makes a great back
to school activity or beginning of the semester activity.

This survey is similar to the Burke Reading Inventory, but
for writing.

The survey is comprised of 15 rating scale questions and
5 short answer questions. Using this survey in my classroom has opened the
door to having honest conversations about writing and allows me to find
creative ways to reach my more reluctant writers,
