Item description

Each of these 5 homonym practice worksheets can be used individually in any order. There are 10 homonym groups on each worksheet, each with two or three words (there, their, they’re). Students are given sentences with blank spaces for the words, and must decide which word goes in which space.

They are designed for 3rd and 4th grade reading/writing levels, and will also be useful for 5th grade review. This is a great back-to-school activity for focus on accuracy in writing.

These worksheets are great for practice, review, as a stand-alone exercise, or as a supplement to other curriculum.

Another suggested use is working with an online dictionary, as students learn to make sure they are using the correct word in their writing.

This resource is formatted for use with Google Drive. The
content is not editable, but there are text boxes for students to write
their answers. (Text boxes are colored a light gray.)
