Why I Love this Resource

As a first grade teacher I’ve found that while students may know their colors, many of them struggle with reading and/or writing color words. I like to keep a dedicated part of my room where I display these color word signs so I can point them out to students when they “get stuck” on a word they don’t immediately recognize or need to spell a color word they don’t already know. My students know that this resource is available for them to use and it makes me so happy to see them using it as a valuable classroom resource. I also love the way the bright colors and fun clipart look hanging on my wall!
