Interested in creatively approaching your assessment of nutrition? This “Create a Healthy Menu” Challenge has your students using what they’ve learned about the Food Pyramid and nutrition to work in pairs to create a healthy menu for a day. 

These meals will include information about serving sizes, and a summary/reflection to complete at the end that discusses why they chose what they did for their project. Students must also create a visual to turn in with their menu (whether that is in Google Slides, 3D food they create, a restaurant “menu” with pictures, etc.). 

This is the perfect, no-prep end-of-unit assessment or supplemental project!
