Item description

Students will become news writers and reporters as they bring history to life in this engaging news report project! This major events in World War 2 news report project is the perfect resource for you if you are looking for a low-prep project that has students up and out of their seats, collaborating, and using a variety of technology.

Over the course of 3-5 days, students will get a crash course in what makes a quality news report. Then they will take what they’ve learned and work with a team to create their own news station complete with a unique name, slogan, and logo. Groups will also plan, write, and film two news reports connected to aspects of World War 2 (causes and origins, major events/battles, key leaders/figures, impact of the war, the Holocaust, atomic weapons, role of women/minorities in the war effort, and impact on technology/innovation). There is also a bonus/extra credit option for early finishers included in this resource! When all groups have completed their reports, you can all enjoy and watch them together.
