Students can master phonics by mapping the sounds in words. CV, VC, CVC, & VCC (C = Consonant; V = Vowel) words are the foundation of reading. It helps children understand that consonant and vowels combine to form words. Allowing students to practice these patterns helps them learn the general rules of the English Language and also helps them to see patterns in words.
