Looking for more than your average puzzle? Looking for something that will get the attention of your learners? Have we got a pack for you!

Pages You’ll Find

Because there are lots of clipart images, this file is 7 MB, which means it may take a while to download on some computers and/or internet connections. We know you wouldn’t want us to sacrifice image quality for smaller file sizes because bright images are so important to your learners!

Here are the categories of pages in the pack:

  • Self-correcting puzzles
  • Interchangeable puzzles
  • Spot-it unicorn worksheets
  • Spanish colors worksheets
  • Spanish numbers worksheets
  • Answers (useful for substitutes/subs., non-language speakers, parents, etc.)

Spanish Vocabulary Covered

Spanish Colors with Separate Variables:

  • rojo
  • azul
  • blanco
  • gris
  • amarillo
  • verde
  • anaranjado / naranja
  • morado / púrpura
  • rosado / rosa
  • café / pardo / marrón
  • negro

Spanish Numbers:

  • cero
  • uno
  • dos
  • tres
  • cuatro
  • cinco
  • seis
  • siete
  • ocho
  • nueve
  • diez

Other Spanish Vocabulary:

  • los arcoíris

Ideas

  • Each puzzle with an alternative color name has its own page so that you can print just the page(s) you need. This does use a tiny bit more paper, but it saves SO much ink. Phew.
  • These are great for stations and centers.
  • Due to the two different types of puzzles and especially the self-correction feature of one set of puzzles, this pack also works for homeschooling baskets and independent learning.
  • There are different types of worksheets in this pack to fit where your learners are. If you have not-quite readers, there are worksheets with just numerals. If you have students who are sounding-out letters and beyond, there are worksheets for them, too.
  • Consider using the different types of puzzles to cycle through the learning. Self-correcting puzzles work great for beginners or when students need self-guided review; interchangeable puzzles work better when students are ready to show what they know.
  • Answer keys are provided in case you want to use these as a part of being out of the classroom (substitute activity, anyone?) or having someone else lead your homeschool lessons. (They will NOT fit a whole period, however.)

FAQs

  • Interchangeable versus Non-interchangeable/Self-correcting Puzzles: Why two types of puzzles? Great question! Self-correcting puzzles are best for initial learning, practice, and fast-review sessions. Interchangeable puzzles work best when students are ready to prove that they have memorized the content and are relying on their knowledge rather than the shapes of the puzzles.
  • Different Types of Worksheets: Why so many different worksheets? Because your learners are unique! If you have young learners, they may need multiple-choice pages. If you have more advanced learners, you may want them to write-out the Spanish words instead of just using numerals. You need flexibility and the ability to re-use materials, and this pack delivers.
  • PDF: You’ll need Adobe (free) to access this file. It will likely take a while to download, as this is a large pack. If you see any lines in the file when you download it, please know that this is just a result of how Adobe makes the file appear on your screen but that these lines should not print.
  • Problems: If you have any problem whatsoever with your download, please reach out to me so that I can do my best to make it right. Your money and time are valuable, and I want to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
  • Contact Me: My email address is on my website, in your PDF download, and in all the free resources I post here on MBT. Reach out anytime, even if you just want to chat about English, Spanish, teaching, whether unicorns are real, anything really.☺

Thank you for all you do for students and learners everywhere!
