This is my complete unit on Stop Motion Photography. This is so much fun for my students to do- great for the end of the semester when it’s hard to get outside and students are getting comfortable with Photoshop basics! Includes: Stop motion & storyboarding notes, presentation, storyboard sheets, photoshop instructions, and project example. Students get super into this project! Use clay, paper, found objects, or have students bring in toys from home to use as the subjects in their videos.

Project Process:

Students learn about stop motion photography and storyboarding

Students create their own story and storyboard out their idea over 40 frames.

Spend some time creating their own characters and backgrounds.

Photograph their stories frame by frame.

Finally, edit photos and create an animated gif using Photoshop.

**this project usually takes my students 5-6 class days from start to finish, depending on class length and students**
